SV Weddings
Are you preparing for marriage and wondering about a Sun Valley pastor performing your wedding ceremony? We would love to talk with you more about how we can assist as you take your next steps toward becoming husband and wife. This is truly an exciting moment in your life and we consider it an honor to walk with you through the process. Here are the five key steps to preparing for your wedding day.

Step 1. Complete the Wedding Inquiry Form
Your first step in the Sun Valley wedding process is to complete and submit the Wedding Inquiry form. This form will get you started in the process and help you get connected to a pastor who can officiate your wedding.

To fill out the Wedding Inquiry Form, choose the campus you attend or the location nearest you.
Casa Grande
East Mesa
Gilbert
Queen Creek
Tempe
Step 2. Schedule an Initial Meeting with a Sun Valley Pastor
After you complete the form above, we will be in touch with you to schedule an appointment with a Sun Valley Pastor. If you requested a specific pastor, we will do our best to connect you with your preferred pastor depending on their availability. During this initial meeting, you will have an opportunity to get to know the pastor, learn more about the pre-marriage process and begin conversation about your wedding ceremony.

The pastoral fee for officiating a wedding is $350.00 plus any travel expenses associated with ceremonies located outside the Phoenix area. The honorarium is due at the wedding rehearsal.

Step 3. Connect with a Wedding Coordinator (Onsite Only)
If you would like to have your wedding onsite at one of our campuses, you will be provided a wedding coordinator who will help you make the preparations for your wedding venue. After you complete the Wedding Inquiry form, you will be sent a packet of information about onsite weddings and a wedding contract. To reserve your venue you will need to sign the contract and turn in the initial deposit.

Step 4. Meet with Pre-Marriage Mentors
At Sun Valley Community Church we believe that a successful marriage begins before the ceremony, so we ask each couple to participate in Pre-Marriage Mentoring prior to their wedding day. This involves meeting with a Sun Valley Pre-Marriage Couple for 6-8 weeks who will walk you through a pre-marital tool called Prepare and Enrich. Although the pre-marriage mentorship process usually takes 6-8 weeks, we strongly recommend completing the process at least 6 months prior to your wedding date. This investment of time will provide you helpful insights about each other and about healthy, joy-filled marriages.

Step 5. Plan Your Wedding Ceremony
Finally, you and your officiating pastor will plan the wedding ceremony. You will discuss items like the order of service, music, readings and the role of your wedding party. If you are planning an onsite wedding, your wedding coordinator will assist you in furnishings, decorations, dressing rooms, etc.

Pre-Marriage Mentors
What are Pre-Marriage Mentors?
Pre-Marriage Mentors are happily married couples, usually married at least 7 years, who are motivated to help engaged couples through the challenges of beginning a new life together. Pre-Marriage Mentors are NOT trained counselors, rather they are willing to authentically share the successes and challenges they've experienced in marriage as they lead engaged couples through the Prepare/Enrich curriculum. If the above describes you and your marriage, and you are interested in becoming a Pre-Marriage Mentor, then we would like to hear from you! Please submit the form below and we will be in touch with you soon.
