Life Groups are the very heart of Sun Valley.
They are a place where you can get to know people just like you and to grow more Christ. Life Groups usually consist of 6-12 people who meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. They are safe places to share our lives, ask questions, pray and serve each other, make new friends and to reach out to our community.
We have a variety of groups that meet at different times and days throughout the week. We would love to help you find a group that fits your needs the best. We’re here to help you get connected. Starting Point is a 5 week commitment. The first week is the basic Intro class to Sun Valley. EVERYONE attending Sun Valley is encouraged to come to this first week. The following 4 weeks of Starting Point are designed for the individual who is seeking and searching for answers and wants to know more about the Christian life. Starting Point is also for someone who is new to the church experience, or the person who has been damaged in the past by religion and wants to begin a fresh start to a life devoted to Jesus.
During the next 4 weeks of Starting Point, we will be going over God 411. God 411 is material our staff has developed to help answer the fundamental questions about a faith in Jesus Christ. God 411 covers topics such as Salvation, Baptism, the Holy Spirit, Christian Community and Living a Life of Impact.
If your faith journey is new and you are just in the beginning stages, we would encourage you to continue to come to Starting Point. You will enjoy the material and you will gain a brand new excitement for the journey set before you.
NEXT Step is offered 2-3 times per year and is designed to be a launching pad for those wanting to get connected in a small group. This 4 week adventure is designed in content for the more grounded Christ follower who is sold out to a life lead by Jesus Christ and fully understands the importance of a small group for spiritual growth.
This is an intentional event to establish small groups from those who regularly attend Sun Valley. Dedicated and committed leaders will be present at all 4 meetings to identify brand new groups and to create relationships with those attending. At the end of the 4 weeks, a hand full of new groups have launched and will continue to meet at regular scheduled times.
