The Outreach Ministry understands that we live in a "Glocal", or Globally-Local world.
This words captures all that we want to be as a church when it comes to making a difference outside the four-walls of Sun Valley. We want to make a difference in our world locally, regionally and globally by planting new churches, developing leaders and by being a voice for children that are vulnerable and cannot speak for themselves.
How We Make A Difference Locally
Invest & Invite
We want to inspire those that call Sun Valley their church home to make a difference in the lives of people around them through Invest & Invite. Invest intentionally in relationships with people that do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and find ways to Invite them to discover God's love for them. The weekend service is an environment we have created to help those that are Investing and Inviting in the lives of people spiritually.
Celebrate Recovery
Everyone has a Hurt, Habit or Hang-Up that keeps them from experiencing life the way that God wants for them. Celebrate Recovery is a Biblically-based 12 Step program that happens every Friday night from 6-9 pm at Sun Valley to help people find true freedom from their addictions!
Local Service Opportunities
We are a Community church. We believe that we should be adding value to the community we are in. Through local service opportunities, we help Sun Valley make a difference in the community through projects that help the homeless, elderly, vulnerable children and women, and various ways that we can help our church make a tangible difference right where we are.
How We Make A Difference Regionally
We have realized that outside the Phoenix Metroplex, we have many opportunities throughout Arizona, the Southwest and Northern Mexico. Through our Strategic Partnerships Regionally we are helping to start new churches, assisting in developing leaders in churches and reaching vulnerable children with the love of Jesus Christ. We have opportunities for Sun Valley to assist personally in these partnerships through short term trips that range from 1 day, 1 week or longer. Our goal is to cooperate with partnerships that allow us to extend our impact regionally in ways that we cannot accomplish on our own.
How We Make A Difference Globally
All around the world each day Sun Valley's Strategic Partnerships are making a difference in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. They are planting new churches, helping train and mentor the next generation of church leadership and facing head on many of the Global Goliath's that are endangering millions of vulnerable children worldwide. They work in slums, rural villages and major urban centers. We have aligned ourselves with these partnerships because we believe that they are the best position to make a difference in the issues that are on Sun Valley's heart. We offer 10 day mission trips to many of these partnerships to assist them in their work, and also have the ability to help those that want to go out for extended periods with our partners.

The goal of the Glocal Outreach Ministry of Sun Valley is to make an impact outside the four walls of Sun Valley through mobilizing our church to make a difference Locally, Regionally and Globally. We believe that through our relationships with Strategic Partnerships we are able to extend the impact we can make world-wide. Through training opportunities, the "Ignite" Podcast, local service ministry opportunities, and short term mission trips, we are helping Sun Valley to live out the Great Commission of Jesus (Matthew 28)! |
