SUN VALLEY'S PREMARITAL PROCESS

We are excited that you and your significant other are considering engagement and/or marriage, and we would like to assist you as you begin the premarital process.

Please read through the steps described below. If you would like additional information, contact Wade Cordell (marriage@sunvalleycc.com).

Step 1: Register for and take the Sun Valley Pre-Marriage Workshop

Our Pre-Marriage Workshop is designed for both engaged and dating couples who are seriously considering marriage. This premarital class is the first step of Sun Valley’s marriage process and serves as an introduction to the biblical foundations of marriage. Our program is designed to help you address common problems that most couples face. You do not need to attend Sun Valley or be a member to take the class.

Send us an email at marriage@sunvalleycc.com for more information about Sun Valley's Marriage Ministry.

Step 2: Start the Mentoring Process

(NOTE: The Pre-Marriage Workshop must be completed before taking this step)

This next step is designed for couples that are engaged and want to continue the premarital process through Sun Valley. During this part of the process, engaged couples will meet six times with a married mentor couple. The meeting times will be structured around the PREPARE Inventory, which is designed to help provide an objective focus on critical relationship issues, as well as discuss any topics or concerns the engaged or mentor couple think would be helpful in establishing a firm foundation for marriage.

For more information or to request a marriage mentor, contact Wade Cordell (marriage@sunvalleycc.com).

The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
