Care Team

When you're hurting, it's difficult to focus on anything other than the pain. Whether it's a conflict in your marriage, an addiction, a death in the family, or another emotionally difficult issue, life can quickly become out of control. We have created a Care Ministry to help people proactively grow as individuals and as couples and also to provide assistance for those seasons in life when you need someone to lean on. Side by Side

There are times in life when you don't want to walk alone--times when you need a shoulder to lean on. The Side by Side Ministry can help those experiencing needs of all kinds. Through one-on-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive love and Christ-centered care.

Christian Counseling

When we have emotional needs, we can usually lean on friends, family members, or a community group. Sometimes, however, problems become more complicated and we need the guidance of a professional. When that time comes, the Care Ministry staff can help you find a competent, caring Christian counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist to help you through your time of crisis.

Prayer Request

The Prayer Team meets on a weekly basis to lift the staff, their families and the congregation up in prayer. The prayer team is dedicated and committed to covering Sun Valley Community Church with a continual blanket of prayer. They also desire to serve and pray for you specifically as they meet together as a team as well as during their individual prayer time.

Grief Share

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief Share is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.

You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. Please join us on Monday nights.

Surrendering the Secret

Healing heartbreak of abortion - new group forming for a six-week Bible study this Summer. Come and connect with other women and begin the healing journey together. If you or your family has experienced a loss or hospitalization, please send a detailed email (including names, emergency, phone number, etc.) to care@sunvalleycc.com. Someone from the Care team will respond to you within 24 hours.
