Welcome to the SVCC Softball Ministry page!

The Softball Ministry at SVCC got started in the spring of 2003. This ministry was created to connect people attending weekend services with others that enjoy the game of slow-pitch softball. Over the years this ministry has been an environment that has brought together a multitude of people. These people have made relationships, on and off the field, which helped in their Christian growth. It has even brought people, not attending Sun Valley, from the softball fields into a weekend service to hear God’s word.

We have had as many as 11 teams on various nights and times playing in the Town of Gilbert’s softball leagues held at Freestone Park. The leagues start in February, May and September each year. We have Men’s and Co-Rec teams and try to accommodate each player with their preference of time and skill level. The cost is $50 for a doubleheader team, $40 for a single game team and $15 for a Sun Valley Softball shirt.
